Lindi Dick
BSc (Hons) Psychology
I qualified as a Body Psychotherapist at the Entelia Institute in 2018.
My main training was with Silke Ziehl, a wonderful teacher, to whom i am very grateful for her kindness, deep, grounded presence and wisdom. The 3 year training was in Process orientated Deep Bodywork, a psychotherapeutic modality that combines Reichian bodywork with Relational Therapy. It led to a specialisation in Jack Painter's Postural Integration and included Psychodynamic theory, Gestalt work, dance and movement, art, bodywork and body reading with aspects of Chinese 5 elements theory and Shamanism.
I continued my study with 2 further training years.
-
One year training in Embodied-Relational therapy with Nick Totton
-
One year training in Embodied psychopathology, at Integrative Mind-Body Therapy Training (IMT), with Dr Asaf Rolef Ben-Shahar.
I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Integrative Counselling from the University of South Wales.
I am also trained in Pulsing, a transformational bodywork and have a Diploma in Acupressure massage from the European Shiatsu School.
I have an interest in spirituality, shamanism, Buddhism, tantra and meditation. I love being with others on silent retreats in nature and I also like long walks, singing in groups and conscious dance.
I have worked as a nurse since 2010.
-
I am a candidate member with European Association for Body Psychotherapists (EABP) working towards full membership. Being registered with EABP means that I work within their Ethical Principles and adhere to their Professional Standards. The Guest House
by Jalaluddin Rumi
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
